Pavement Preservation

Pavement preservation refers to a set of proactive, cost-effective maintenance strategies aimed at extending the lifespan of pavement and improving its performance by addressing the early stages of deterioration. Unlike rehabilitation or reconstruction, pavement preservation focuses on maintaining and enhancing the existing pavement structure without major repairs or complete replacement. The primary goal is to prevent further damage, minimize the need for more costly repairs in the future, and maximize the overall life-cycle value of the roadway.

Slurry Seal

Slurry seal is a road maintenance treatment that involves applying a thin, smooth layer of a mixture of asphalt emulsion, fine aggregate (sand), water and sometimes additives to the surface of a road or pavement. It is primarily used to restore the condition of worn, cracked, oxidized or aging asphalt pavements, sealing them against water infiltration and further damage.

Micro Surfacing

Micro surfacing is a road maintenance technique used to repair and extend the lifespan of asphalt pavements. It involves applying a thin layer of a specially formulated mixture of crushed aggregate, polymer modified asphalt emulsion, water, and additives to the surface of a road. The mixture is designed to seal cracks, fill minor surface defects, and improve the skid resistance of the pavement surface.
